Sam Keller (b. Brooklyn, NY, 1986) is known for using consumer products, food, found
objects and trash as sculptural materials in his ongoing critique of late-stage capitalism. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
Sam’s collaboration with Puzzle Time™ depicts the artist’s 2017 sculpture "Giant Cheeto," an oversized 21” x 12” x 6” Cheeto Puff carved from salvaged foam and painted. The artwork rose to fame after a bystander snapped a candid photograph of the artist transporting two Giant Cheetos on the NYC Subway, landing them on the popular people-watching blog SubwayCreatures and establishing Sam’s status as a viral sensation and snack enthusiast.
Despite his long-standing use of Cheetos as an art material, Sam no longer consumes the beloved snack, now favoring the Italian rainbow cookie as a special treat.
