How are Puzzle Time™ puzzles made?
I cut them by hand in my studio!
So, you laser-cut them?
No, I use a scroll saw to cut each piece by hand.
Where do you get them cut?
I cut them myself on my scroll saw in my studio in Queens.
Why are Puzzle Time™ puzzles more expensive than other puzzles?
Cutting them by hand is an involved process that requires skill, time and labor.
Do you know about laser-cutting?
Yes.
Why don’t you just laser-cut the puzzles?
The traditional hand-cutting process is enjoyable and meaningful to me, and makes every puzzle and puzzle piece totally unique. Uniformity and automation don’t interest me unless we’re talking gas station snacks.
Wait so you’re cutting them yourself?
Yes.
How?
I cut the puzzles piece-by-piece with a scroll saw in my studio in Queens which is where I cut all the puzzles myself manually with a scroll saw myself by hand meaning using my hands to use a saw to cut the puzzles.
Can you ship my puzzle pre-assembled?
It would be in violation of my moral code but I will consider it for $6,000 cash.
Why isn’t there a picture on the box?
Imagery on the one-off puzzles is literally torn from magazines and other found media, so the only copy is on the puzzle itself. The artist editions could have an image included, but you don’t need it! It is fun to examine details stripped of their larger context!!!
I finished the puzzle. How can I glue it together?
If adhesive of any kind comes within a nautical mile of your Puzzle Time™ puzzle, your Cool Guy membership will be instantly revoked and you will be added to the international Shit-Lords registry for life.
Can you make a puzzle of my dog?
Unfortunately, I can’t!
Can you make a puzzle from a very random, dumb as hell and possibly problematic image in an old magazine I have?
Probably, let’s talk.
